Every Hidden Harbor Designs piece begins with an original concept developed in Germany, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of artistic traditions and visual styles. From Japanese design and vintage travel art to natural history, science, and contemporary aesthetics, each collection explores a distinct visual world.
Rather than producing large quantities in advance, our products are made to order. Once you place an order, your chosen piece is individually produced by one of our selected production partners. This allows us to offer a broad and ever-growing collection while avoiding unnecessary overproduction and excess inventory.
Our production network spans different parts of the world. Depending on the product, materials and production expertise available, an item may be sourced or produced in Japan, the United States, Europe, or other selected locations. We carefully choose our partners based on the products they specialize in, allowing each piece to be produced where its particular requirements can be met.

A Note About Shipping
Because our collection is created through a network of specialized partners, different products may occasionally be produced and shipped from different locations. If your order contains products from multiple production facilities, you may therefore receive more than one shipment and, in some cases, separate shipping charges may apply.
We understand that this is not always ideal. We continuously work to consolidate our production wherever possible and to offer as many products as we can through the same partners, helping us keep shipping as simple and efficient as possible.
